It has been seven years since Michael Scofield graced TV sets around the globe. But he and his crew is about to return for a “Prison Break” reboot. What does Scofield’s on screen brother have to say about the upcoming revival?

Actor Dominic Purcell, who plays Lincoln Burrows on the show, recently sat down with to talk about what fans could expect from the additional episodes they are currently working on. “It’s crazy. It’s really, really cool,” he said. “Honestly, the fans are going to be blown away by this. It’s really a riveting, high-tension thriller. It’s an extraordinary, extraordinary show.” He also thinks the show will be a “cross between ‘Bourne Identity’ and ‘American Sniper.'”

The show’s fourth season ended with Scofield presumably dead. But the actor assures fans that the show’s lead star will be returning next season. He even teased what his brother might be up to in the upcoming installment. “He wasn’t [killed], he ended up working for this organization,” Purcell said of Scofield. “It got to the point where he couldn’t do it anymore, and they threw him in a jail in Yemen to change his mind.”

The reboot will be set in Yemen. And, according to Purcell, the setting will make the series more relevant. “It’s tying into what’s going on in the world today with terrorism,” he explained. “The show is taking place in Yemen; we’re dealing with ISIS and ISA.”

Meanwhile, the actor also talked about the injuries he recently got on set. “Physically, I’m fine…I’m one hundred percent,” Purcell told Collider. “The accident was shocking, more than anything else…I thought I was going to die. [But] you wouldn’t believe it—you saw the pictures—I’m good to go. I actually start filming [again] on Monday.”

The “Prison Break” revival is set to premiere this coming spring.
