She is not even a year old but Princess Charlotte proved that there is no age requisite to inspire someone. The youngest of British Royals has inspired luxury brand Marc Jacobs to name a lipstick colour after her.

Marc Jacobs has introduced a new shade of lipstick as part of his Le Marc lip crème collection,Bustle revealed. It is named “Charlotte” and has the deepest saturated pink tones akin to an English rose. The shade will remind everyone of the 9-month-old’s rosy cheeks more than anything. Marc Jacobs debuted the lipstick at Harrods in London. It is marked at £24 (AU $ 49.24).

Harrods said it was the biggest colour cosmetics launch in its history. Talking about the new lipstick shade, Catherine Gore, global vice president and General Manager of Marc Jacobs Beauty said, “We wanted to commemorate this major brand milestone by creating a custom shade of Le Marc lip crème,” WWD reports.

It is an interesting move by Jacobs to choose baby Princess Charlotte as her muse to launch in a country that loves its royals. This gimmick is sure to win them good traction in the UK market.

On its part, Harrods is gearing up to make this launch a success. WWD informs that the Knightsbridge store has three big windows near door nine on Brompton Road dedicated exclusively to Marc Jacobs Beauty. This is the first time that the store has done a colour cosmetics takeover of the windows. Customers are invited to walk inside the space and experiment with the new collection.

“We have never done colour cosmetics in our windows, so the Marc Jacobs team has allowed us to make history,” said Mia Collins, Head of beauty, Harrods. “We have huge expectations for the brand. There has been so much excitement from so many different territories already and we now want to give our clients the chance to understand and get deeper into the Mr. Jacobs’ universe,” she said.

According to E Online, the barely one-year-old Princess is also a muse to designer Seraphine for a children’s clothing line. She was recently ranked No. 1 on Tatler’s Most Influential list.
