Talk n Text and Rain or Shine will battle on Sunday (Dec. 6) in 2015-16 Smart Bro PBA Philippine Cup at Smart-Araneta Coliseum.

The Texters lost to Barako Bull, 105-98, in an overtime game on Thursday. While TnT forced an overtime following Troy Rosario two free throws with 15.5 seconds to go for 97-all.

Jayson Castro nearly made the game-winning 3-pointer before time ran out.  Castro scored TNT’s only point in the extra period to finish with 19 points.  At the end, the Energy outlasted Talk N Text, Philippine Star noted.

Wilson, 35, outsmarted and outplayed supposedly quicker and tougher matchups in Harvey Carey and Kelly Williams. Wilson finished with a career game, 28 points and 20 rebounds.  RR Garcia added 22 points while JC Intal posted a double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds for the Energy, who rose to 4-4, Inquirer wrote.

TNT guard Ryan Reyes also reached a milestone after recording 501 steals after the game. However, the Texters still slid to the 4-3 record.  Mo Tautuaa, the top overall pick in this year’s Draft, also set his career-high in scoring with 20 points.

Last week, TNT gained momentum following its 109-98 victory over Blackwater, in which Castro led the attack with 26 points. Troy Rosario and Tautuaa contributed 33 points and 18 rebounds. Rain or Shine, on the other hand, won against the Barako, 104-110.

Alaska is currently sharing  the lead in the team standing, 7-1, with defending champion San Miguel Beer after the Milkmen defeated Meralco Bolts in its last outing, 88-86.

The top two teams after the elimination rounds are rewarded with automatic semifinals berths, while the third to sixth-ranked teams will have a win-once advantage over their foes in the first phase of the quarterfinals.

Meanwhile, Robert Non, the San Miguel Beer representative and chair of the league’s board, will concurrently act as the president and CEO after the board accepted “with a heavy heart” Chito Salud’s resignation.
