Singer Louis Tomlinson and Briana Jungwirth agree to name One Direction baby Sydney Rain. The baby’s surname has yet to be determined as the birth certificate has not been filed.
Jungwirth gave birth in a Los Angeles hospital with Tomlinson by her side. The singer confirmed earlier the news of the baby’s arrival through his Twitter account.
In his post, Tomlinson tweeted he was very happy about the birth. He also noted the baby was “healthy and pretty amazing”.
Details of custody and financial support for the baby have not been finalized. To date, Tomlinson had supported Jungwirth financially throughout the pregnancy.
However, her family is disappointed by his efforts so far. Jungwirth’s mother and step dad are particularly concerned.
Initially, the singer promised to buy a house for his baby’s mother. Instead, he only rented and furnished property for her. It was also revealed he provided a monthly allowance of only $1,500.
The family is reportedly demanding financial support for the One Direction baby amounting to £8.1 million, according to The Sun. This translates to £450,000 annually until 2034 or when the boy turns 18. This would seriously impact the singer’s bank account. Fortunately, both sides remain cordial about the negotiations. A resolution about this matter is expected soon.
Tomlinson and Jungwirth met after the singer broke up with former girlfriend Eleanor Calder in March 2015. He dated Jungwirth briefly in May.
Though their relationship ended, they remained friends. The friendship is said to have gotten stronger because of the baby. In preparation for his daddy duties, Tomlinson has reportedly relocated to be closer to Jungwirth and his child.
At present, Tomlinson is reportedly dating actress Danielle Campbell of the series, ‘The Originals”. The two were spotted last Christmas season in Chicago. A few days later, the couple was also seen in London before New Year’s Eve.
