Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will be visiting the White House next week to meet President Obama. The time for his visit is being considered as perfect, because the present moment suggests that the relationship between the two countries and their leaders is absolutely on a top-notch level.

Trudeau is a tall man with dark hair. He is one of Canada’s most popular politicians. He was sworn into office in November 2015.

Trudeau will have several on and off camera talks with Obama, another politician who is extremely popular in Canada, says Daily Mail.

The 44-year-old prime minister will be accompanied by his wife Sophie Gregoire during the visit. They will be served with a lustrous state dinner. This will be the first time since 1997 that a Canadian leader is going to have state dinner with a US president.

According to Nelson Wiseman, Obama was overjoyed with Trudeau’s election results.

“They are both liberals. They both like to talk the same kind of language,” said the University of Toronto political science professor.

Former Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper had an edgy relationship with Obama. There were several reasons for this strained relationship, like the proposed Keystone XL oil pipeline that would have run from Canada to the Gulf of Mexico. The project was cancelled by Obama last year.

However, with Trudeau’s victory, a change is looming over Canadian politics. Others hope that bonds between US and Canada will grow stronger.

“The first call I made to him I said, ‘Justin, congratulations. You and your family look great. I know Canadians are incredibly inspired by your message of hope and change,’ “said Obama.

The two leaders are expected to discuss the Trans-Pacific Partnership deal and the fight against the Islamic State that could be an issue of their disagreement, says The Hill.

“He [Obama] understands the commitments I’ve made around ending the combat mission,” said Trudeau on the fight against ISIS.

Trudeau has also indicated at Canada’s climate change and its seriousness.
