There is something extraordinary behind the making of “No Man’s Sky”. Hello Games has already given us a sneak-peek into the space exploration game and possibilities are infinite. The latest news on the “procedurally generated galaxy” game revolves around “The Lore” and the universe creation.
Chief Architect Sean Murray took to the official PlayStation Blog to reveal that the game might not have a story after all, but would have a “Lore”. He also shared a video featuring Dave Gibbons and James Swallow. The latest details of the game in collaboration with Gibbons and Swallow might be one of the best things you would like to see today.
Needless to say, the video is extremely beautiful. Have a look.
Hello Games founder, Murray, stated in the blog, “Today, I wanted to show you something new, a little bit of how we approach lore and storytelling in our universe. It’s a bit different to what you might be used to with some other games.

“With a universe as open as ours – with a near infinite number of planets out there to see – we want players to discover everything on their terms. We don’t have huge cut scenes or a traditional linear story.

“There is, however, a real lore in the game. Hopefully, everything you find has a reason for existing. When you see a building, we’ve tried to think of who might have built it, and why. It’s something we’re excited to see fans uncover as they play, and put their own interpretations on.”
According to the IGN reports, Murray said that he was privileged to have worked with “two very talented storytellers”, – Dave Gibbons (Watchmen, Kingsman, 2000 AD) and James Swallow (Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Star Trek).
He further mentioned that both the storytellers tried to create their own story in the game which would inspire the players. The game’s limited edition would have the “Adventures in No Man’s Sky” comic inside.
