As the 2016–17 NBA approaches its opening, trade rumors continue to buzz around the Internet. For this NBA season, Kevin Love is again part of the trade rumors. It is said that he is headed to Oklahoma City Thunders.
According to a report of The Inquisitr, the Cleveland Cavaliers entered a deal with OKC for power forward Kevin Love to be sent to the OKC in exchange for their point guard Victor Olapido. As per the reports, this must be the deal that the Cavs have been waiting for.
There are also rumors that Love is not happy with his role in the Cleveland Cavaliers. The rumors are that his playing skills are not going well with those of LeBron James and Kyrie Irving.
In a report by iSport Times, the trade deal will be beneficial for both teams as Olapido can support Kyrie in the backcourt. Olapido joining the Cavs would allow Irving to concentrate more on his offense, which will lead to the Cav’s advantage.
“Irving’s handles allow him to get anywhere he wants on the court. Oladipo’s explosive first step is what allows him to get by defenders and kick it out to excellent shooters like Irving,” an excerpt from the report shared by iSport Times stated.
Meanwhile, Kevin Love will be great help in the offense of OKC after Kevin Durant left the team. If Love will join OKC, he will also be reunited with his college buddy Russell Westbrook. They both played at UCLA.
The trade rumor involving Love is a good deal because his NBA All-Star skills are allegedly needed by other teams and not by the Cavs. If the trade will push through, it would be reasonable for both teams. Olapido’s addition to the Cavs will make them a better defensive team.
