David Lee available for possible trades? It may come as a surprise for a lot of basketball followers but Lee is considering his move.

As evident from the Celtics’ team blog, David Lee may not be performing like a star right now but he is not a potential keeper in the side. According to the blog, though he hasn’t been horrible, he is not perfect for the team for now or in the near future.

The blog quotes, “The Celtics have been very solid, but Coach Brad Stevens has a minutes problem, as evidenced by the lack of time for David Lee—whose expiring contract is available, per league sources.”

It will be interesting to see how the trading options lay out for him at this juncture. Whenever there is a trade, there are rumors. And it is interesting to watch the “rumor mill” once again, the blog notes.

The objective was to get a bigger role when he moved to Celtics from the Golden States Warriors. While the Celtics would be happy to get what Lee provided, “his ending contract could return something of value to the Celtics, especially given his $15.493 million contract,” notes the blog.

The rumors are strong that Boston Celtics may still be interested to rope in with Power forward Nerlens Noel of Philadelphia 76ers. As per the Bleacher Reports, Noel hasn’t lived up to his expectations. He has been struggling alongside Jahlil Okafor.

Playing with the Celtics could provide Noel with the number one status, which he has been looking for. Reports also claim that if he continues to play along side Okafor, he will certainly not flourish.

“If the Sixers are prepared to move on, the Boston Celtics could be a potential trade suitor,” according to Tom Moore of Calkins Media.

It will be interesting to see how things unfold in the future for David Lee as well as Noel.
