The Los Angeles Lakers are sitting right at the bottom of the table and with 3-21 the Lakers managed to record the second worst in the league. Rumors suggest that Lakers are trying to clear as much cap-space as they can for next year’s free agency.

Yibada reports suggest that the Lakers are potentially doomed for the season and with Kobe Bryant’s retirement plans, the future looks bleak for the Los Angeles side.  Nearly after 20-years of greatness, Bryant announced his retirement post this season.

A lot of changes are being planned as the Lakers side look to revamp their strategies and restart their franchise.

There are ample speculations about Nick Young as a possible trade is on the cards. He is one of the tradable assets and it appears the Lakers now are “ready to move on” from Swaggy P, as per reports.

The Lakers could manage a decent trade as the Young’s trade value is at an “all-time high”, reports Eric Yee of Lake Show Life.

Yibada quotes, “In the trade scenario, the Lakers would give Nick Young and Ryan Kelly for Milwaukee Bucks pair of OJ Mayo and Miles Plumlee.”

The shooting guard, Young, is only averaging 9.2 points per contest which is on a “very limited time of 19.9 minutes per game.”

The Lakers are ready to make a run next summer and clear their cap-space. Mayo and Miles have not done well this season and their contracts are expiring soon. Plenty of star-players will be available next year and the Lakers would surely want to capitalize on it.

Reports suggest that Nick Young is a proven instant offense. Lake Show Life quotes, “Young is an instant upgrade over Luke Babbit, Alonzo Gee and Cunningham who are all averaging under six points per contest. He also a much improved defender, proving that effort, or lack thereof, was his main deficiency.”

There is no official statement to confirm the reports yet.
