There has been ample number of speculations on Jamal Crawford’s future. He has been subjected to a lot of trading rumors during the NBA Off-Season, and now, rumors say he could still be traded this season.

According to SportsBlog, could be asking for a trade after his role as the sixth man of the LA Clippers has been diminished with more talent added to the bench.

“Jamal Crawford is used to being the leader off the bench, his two sixth man of the year awards are testament to that. With that knowledge, it makes sense that Crawford probably doesn’t like the idea of stepping onto the court with 4 other really talented bench players,” the site noted.

Doc Rivers has made plenty changes which might trigger Crawford to move away from the Los Angeles Clippers.

Talking about the Clipper’s new line up, the Clippers guard revealed, “I just didn’t know how it was going to fit, You basically have five people in the second unit who can all handle the ball and make plays. There’s only one basketball. How’s this going to work?”

Crawford has also been linked with the Minnesota Timberwolves for a possible swap with Kevin Martin. Crawford has always been the lead guy and definitely likes taking the shots. With the Timberwolves he may see himself taking that exact role.

If he is really unhappy with the Clipper’s composition and wants to move out, he will be served with ample opportunities and some “enticing trade options”.

Aside from Crawford, rumor has it that Chicago Bulls’ center, Joakim Noah, is also close to being a trading option as Spanish tandem of Pau Gasol and Nikola Mirotic continues to post good numbers.

Reports suggest that Noah can be traded to Washington Wizards in exchange for veteran center Nenê, as par Yibada reports. Noah has struggled to perform in the pre-season and is apparently one of the targets in the mid-season trade.

All these trading rumors have not been confirmed by either the players nor the respective clubs. However, if Noah gets traded with Nenê, Bulls will have to look for a more reliable back up wingman.

It will be interesting to note how things play out this season as we continue to speculate the possible trading options.
