Portland Trail Blazers are up against Golden State Warriors for the West Semifinals Round on Sunday, May 1 starting around 3:30PM ET.

After Blazers launched a shocking aggressive play and 4 consecutive wins against LA Clippers landing them with a 4-2 standing,  their team is now advancing to the semis to face a Curry-less Golden State. This is the only second time Blazers has overcome their 2-0 deficit to win the series since their 1977 NBA Finals against PHI while it is their first time to get 4 straight wins since 2000 according to NBA records.

To Blazers’ advantage, Golden State Warriors comes up to play ball with Curry still benched, recovering from his Grade 1 sprain of his right knee. However, it seems the Warriors are still a tough team to beat even without Curry as shown by their latest gameplay. Warriors gave the Rockets a disappointing defeat at 4-1 and left them with a huge score gap of 179-119 even after Curry’s injury in the 2nd quarter of Game 4. During the game

Sports Illustrated points out Rip City’s win over LA Clippers was not much a surprise but handing Warriors their Semis defeat would truly be quite a shock and impressive feat to accomplish. Though the Blazers have already defeated Warriors in the the All-Stars with a massive score advantage ending in 137-103, Damian Lillard who led the team into an aggressive offense play before seems to have face up to the task of repeating, if not topping up his 51-points in order to beat the Golden State Warriors.

A thing to watch out for during the Warriors vs Blazers game is the pace both teams are going to take. Both move at a fast pace though the Dub Nation still remembers their crushing defeat at the hands of the Blazers on their All-Star break.

As coach Steve points out, “It wasn’t a fluke. That’s what happens if you play Portland and you throw the ball away. They’ve got explosive players all over the floor and 3-point shooting everywhere.”

Prepare for an explosive game between the Warriors vs Blazers this May 1.
