The Oklahoma City Thunder will take on the San Antonio Spurs at the AT&T Center in Texas on Tuesday night, April 12, starting 8 pm ET.
In Sunday night’s game, the Golden State Warriors did the impossible and beat the Spurs in Texas after two decades. That should boost confidence into the Thunder squad before they make their way to the AT&T Center.
As per the official NBA reports, LaMarcus Aldridge scored 24 points, 10 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 block in 33 minutes in Sunday night’s game against the Warriors. Even Kawhi Leonard chipped in with 20 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals and 3 blocks in 39 minutes. Gregg Popovich might be particularly wary of the Thunder team as the home team lost to the Warriors twice in the same week.

“We played a hell of a team, and I thought our aggressiveness, our attention to detail, was much better than [Thursday night’s loss at Golden State],” ESPN quoted Popovich as saying. “They did a lot of good things out there. I’m really happy with how we performed.”
The media notes reveal that the Spurs are 1-2 against the Oklahoma City Thunder this season. In the first meeting, last October, at Chesapeake Energy Arena, San Antonio fell 112-106 in both teams’ 2015-16 season openers.
In the second matchup, San Antonio defeated Oklahoma City 93-85 at the AT&T Center in December. The win also helped Spurs to secure their fifth Southwest Division title in the past six years. In the latest outing, Spurs were defeated 111-92 at Chesapeake Energy Arena, last month. The loss was the first this season for San Antonio on the second night of a back-to-back.
Thunder secured their sixth consecutive home victory against the Los Angeles Lakers. Kobe Bryant’s team lost 79-112 against the Thunder. The Lakers play the Utah Jazz on Wednesday, a night which is being touted as the “Grand Finale Night” for the legendary Bryant.
