The Los Angeles Lakers will play against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday, April 11, at the Chesapeake Energy Arena, starting 8 pm ET.
The Thunder have taken their record to 54-26 and will be looking forward to their 11th-straight “home victory” in this series. But, Kobe Bryant is set to steal the show in one of his last appearances of his illustrious career. Bryant finished with 35-points in last Sunday’s game 130-111 loss against Houston.
Bryant has one more to go, being touted as the “Grand Finale”, at his home turf in Los Angeles against Utah this Wednesday.
Ticket prices are sky-rocketing as the cheapest tickets available at StuHub.com are going for $863 (US$650) each while “a pair of 100 level seats are listed for a minimum of $1328 (US$1,000) each with court-side seats starting at just under $26550 (US$20,000),” noted Fox Sports.
“It’s a beautiful thing,” exclaimed the 18-time All-Star. “I found enjoyment in it and in being able to say thank you to everybody and vice versa. Rarely as an athlete do you get an opportunity to do that. Normally your career comes and it goes. I’m very appreciative.”
As per the official NBA sources, Russell Westbrook had a chance “to pass a couple of Lakers’ legends in the record books on Monday night.”
Thunder coach Billy Donovan remained positive ahead of the upcoming game. “We have a group of guys who are really competitive and really want to win,” Donavan stated. “Emotionally, being able to control and stay focused and locked in on the things you have control over becomes really important.”
“We need this right now this time of year, those hard fought battles and struggles.”
