Tech aficionados over the past months have witnessed a number of leaks coming their way revealing what the Motorola MotoMods for the Motorola Moto Z series may bring. Now, the official word from the tech company confirms that leaks delivered details right on point.

There is no denying that there have been some pleasant surprises that many fans will appreciate. One of the MotoMods allows for projecting movies, videos on the wall and another one amplifies audio with JBL speakers, as noted by Tech Radar. As expected, a MotoMod to boost the battery and the ones which can be slapped right on the phone incase to customize the design are also seen in the mix.

These offering for the Moto Z series will sure be giving the LG G5 some serious competition. What’s interesting is that the accessory magnetically connects to the Moto Z. The MotoMods are activated when they connect through the pins that are on the rear panel of the smartphone. Four MotoMods have been introduced and with the battery-booster MotoMod adding 2,220mAh of additional power to the existing 2,600mAH battery and 3,500mAh one on the Moto Z and the Moto Z Force, respectively.

The projector MotoMod clearly highlights Lenovo’s touch to the whole lineup since the company is known to add projectors to its products such as the Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro. Also, much to the delight of audiophiles, they can easily slap the JBL Soundboost Speaker MotoMod right on the back of the device. This will allow users to do away with having to carry a Bluetooth speaker. A report on PhoneArena had earlier mentioned a camera MotoMod in the works, but it remained conspicuous by its absence, it may hopefully materialise in the weeks to come.

When the Moto Z and Moto Z Force are arrive, there will be more options of Mods to pick from since more are expected to release during the summer. Keep one eye out for details on what else is in store. Keep checking back for more updates on the Motorola Moto Z lineup and the MotoMods.
