Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth reportedly got secretly married but her family did not attend the ceremony. Was there a problem?

The pair allegedly tied the knot in Australia recently, but Cyrus’ family was unable to make it. Inquisitr cited a Life and Style magazine interview with a source who said: “It was so last minute, her family couldn’t make it.”

Hollywood Life indicated that Cyrus and Hemworth had a beach wedding ceremony, which members of Hemsworth’s family attended. This happened while Cyrus’ dad and mom, Billy Ray and Tish, and her siblings are in Los Angeles.

“It was very emotional. They both said a few words on the spot and then Liam asked everyone in his family to hold a candle. He and Miley lit each one, saying it represented the eternal flame of their love,” the source said.

The newly wed are also about to embark on a romantic honeymoon in Europe, an insider told Life and Style.

“Liam has promised to take [Miley Cyrus] on the honeymoon of her dreams. They’re planning a European adventure later this spring. They want to visit volcanoes in Iceland and then make their way to Paris, followed by Italy. It will be a month-long getaway.”

Another source told Life & Style last month that the couple is also planning to start their own family soon amidst rumours that the singer is already expecting a baby. The “Wrecking Ball” singer reportedly has told her friends about her plan to stop using birth control “soon.”

“[Miley Cyrus] and Liam aren’t just back together — they’re seriously planning marriage and a family. [Miley Cyrus] wants to start trying to have a baby as soon as they are married, if not before,” the source said.

The two have yet to publicly confirm if they rekindled their romance despite being spotted for several times in recent months. The buzz began circulating that Miley Cyrus got re-engaged with the “Hunger Games” actor after she flashed her engagement ring on social media. Nonetheless, there are also reports that the two have broken up over disagreements on wedding plans.
