Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth don’t need to look for a preacher for their wedding. The singer’s dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, volunteered to officiate his daughter’s wedding.
The 54-year-old “Hannah Montana” actor has addressed the Miley-Liam wedding rumours and revealed to E! News what is really going on between the two. When asked if the two are officially engaged, the older Cyrus said, “Here’s what I do know. They’re so happy. That’s the main thing.”
He added that “Miley and I, we always had this slogan — ‘If you ain’t happy, it ain’t working.’ Just seeing these — I still call ’em kids — these two kids happy, that’s all that matters.”
E! News then asked if fans could expect a wedding soon. He quipped, “If any of my kids decide they’re gonna have a wedding of any kind, whatever role they want me to play, I’ll be there, you know what I mean? They want me to be the butler — that’s fine. Whatever they choose. I might make a good preacher.”
The couple rekindled their romance earlier this year after they called off their engagement in 2013. The “Wrecking Ball” singer has been flaunting the same engagement ring the actor gave her in 2012 and she has also been spotted on several occasions with some members of the Hemsworth family.
Us Weekly reported that the Cyrus-Hemsworth wedding will take place in Australia and the singer has already talked to a wedding planner to discuss details for her big day. Meanwhile, the couple also is dismissing rumours that they already split as they were recently seen together having dinner with the actor’s family.
It was earlier reported that the two parted ways after the “Hunger Games” star admitted that he cheated on her. According to Life & Style, the actor realised that he is not ready to have his own family and Miley Cyrus is not the one for him. “He recently dumped her, just days before the wedding. She’s heartbroken, but pissed off, too,” the magazine wrote.
