The crossover between two action-comedy films “22  Jumpstreet” and “Men in Black” is happening. The upcoming flick will be titled “MIB 23” and a report has it that production has to do a recast.

According to Comic Book, “MIB” lead stars Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones might not be coming back. And for that, the filmmakers are thinking if they will be replaced by younger actors or whether Sony will ask Josh Brolin to reprise his role as a younger Jones.

Meanwhile, Polygon stated that Smith and Jones may still consider making a cameo for the film, just like what Johnny Depp and Peter DeLuise did in the original “21 Jumpstreet.” On the other hand, “22 Jumpstreet’s” main protagonists Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum are assumed to return for the titular roles.

While nothing much has been revealed about the movie’s release date, plot, and other information, Gizmodo notes that the movie could combine both of each film’s settings. Furthermore, Comic Book wrote that the logo for the “MIB 23”

The logo was unveiled by Sony at the recent CinemaCon held in Las Vegas. The emblem featured the letters “MIB” in the metallic finish used in previous “Men In Black logos and the number “23” in red similar to the red in previous “Jump Street logos.

The website also stated that James Bobbins is expected to direct the exciting crossover. Notably, his works are recognized on HBO’s “Flight of the Conchords” and “The Muppets” movie.

CBS News also reported that Sony surprised the CinemaCon attendees due to the fact that “MIB 23” was sort of a joke made by “Sony email hack” that later came true. More than the expected motion picture, Sony also unveiled 3 other films- “The Girl Who Played with Fire,” “Equalizer 2” and “Bad Boys III.”
