Twin sisters Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, who are known to lead a very private life, even have a museum photo build hiding their faces from the paparazzi. Fans finally got a sneak peek into the lives of these sisters, as they are now out on social media.

The twin sisters and fashion designers joined the photo-sharing site, Instagram via their beauty retailer, Sephora account. They shared their first public selfie with the world on April 13. “First public selfie ever,” the sisters wrote. Wearing black sunglasses and loose hair,  the twins got 2844 comments and 65.9k likes from their loyal fan base of the 1990s. The sisters also shared the handbag material they would be using for their fashion line. Their diet chart was also part of their new online publicity, Cosmopolitan reports. They first appeared public for their label Elizabeth and James and their fragrances Nirvana Black and White, according to Teen Vogue.

“We’ve spent our whole lives trying to not let people have that accessibility, so it would go against everything we’ve done in our lives to not be in the public,” the twins said in  a 2011 interview with Vogue.

It seems like the child stars have their skills intact. Even before they could start speaking, they became famous and entered the minds of every girl in America. They were like princesses. Their bands, books and newsletters were sold like iPhones. They never needed to act nor did they give any interviews. Even before they chose to or use Facebook , they still managed to be famous.
