A new series of “Married at First Sight” Australia is almost upon us. Will the second series prove to be more controversial than the first?
Channel 9 has dropped a new trailer for the show. And, according to Mail Online, it promises to be “the most dramatic series yet.” The teaser gave us a first glimpse of the show’s four brides and four grooms. Each of them will meet their potential match “for the first time at the altar.”
According to Woman’s Day Australia, the trailer teased “drama and chaos” among the eight hopefuls even “before anyone walks down the aisle.” One bride was seen “breaking down in tears.” And another was even heard saying “I don’t like him at all!” Could this mean two of the show’s couples will end in “disaster?”
The first series of the reality dating show reportedly received “mixed results.” The show saw four couples who had never met marry on the spot “after being matched by science.” Woman’s Day Australia earlier called the series “television’s craziest social experiment.”

According to Channel 9, the show sees three top relationship experts using “a mix of neuroscience and psychology” to create “perfect matches” for eight “brave singles.”
A new season of “Married at First Sight” Australia will premiere on April 4. You can check out the show every Monday night on Channel 9.
Meanwhile, producers of the show’s American counterpart held a casting call in Chicago, Illinois last week. The show’s upcoming fourth season will also have a completely different expert panel. Their resident sexologist, psychologist, and spiritual adviser have all previously confirmed their exits from the series. This did not come as a surprise for most fans. The show’s third season did end with “no couples staying together.”
