With rumors and speculations galore for the MacBook 2016 series, it appears that tech aficionados will only breathe a sigh of relief once the Cupertino tech giant announces the new lineup.
There have been contradictory reports about when the MacBook Pro 2016 and Air 2016 are expected to launch. Earlier news about the lineup launching this year itself have made rounds and then we heard that the 2016 MacBooks will in fact launch early next year owing to the delay in production on the Intel Skylake-U chipsets, rumored to be embedded in the new series.
Now, it turns out, the MacBook Air 2016 will be launched in time for Christmas this year, while MacBook Pro 2016 may become available in Spring 2016. As per Neurogadget, since the announcement for the Apple devices didn’t happen last month as predicted by many, it may just take place in time for holidays.
The new MacBook Air 2016 is rumored to come packed with the Intel Skylake-U chipset, OS X El Capitan, Type-C USB port, Force Touch technology as well as a sleeker chassis. The Macbook Air will be available in 13-inch and 15-inch variants for fans to choose from. As for the MacBook Pro 2016, it is expected to arrive with similar specs but with a higher RAM.
There has been no word from Apple what lies in store for fans, as far as MacBooks are concerned. However, it is being widely believed that the MacBooks will arrive along with the iPad Air 3, the new-gen model which was conspicuous by its absence during the Apple September 2015 event.
According to 9to5 Mac, fans may also witness the launch of Apple Watch 2 in 2016, either during the second or the third quarter.
The MacBook Air 2016 may arrive with a price tag of $1500, according to Neurogadget. With the latest Microsoft devices arriving on the scenario as “MacBook killer,” Apple may just bring out its best yet. Let’s keep our fingers crossed.
Keep coming back for more details and updates on the upcoming MacBook lineup.
