Predictions about the launch of the MacBook Air 2016 have been flying around for the last few months now.
Report by Latinos Post hinted at a Black Friday launch, which seemed quite unlikely even at that time. With a no-show for MacBook Air 2016 during the biggest shopping day of the year, Yibada predicted a Christmas launch this year for the much-awaited laptop.
As it turns out according to report on Taiwan’s Economic Daily News, the upgraded version of the MacBook Air may be unveiled during mid next year. So, the likely stage for the product to be launched could be the Worldwide Developers Conference held annually in the month of June.
That’s not all, there is more information on the design aspect and the specs of the MacBook Air. It is predicted to be much sleeker than the current MacBook Air models in store as well as it may house a much powerful processor.
As many may remember, there hasn’t been any radical change in design since the last five years when it comes to the MacBook. Sure, the upgraded models have always been rolled-out yearly, but without any significant redesign. If the speculations are anything to go by, then the next-gen MacBook Air may just arrive with a new look. Not only is it expected to be sleeker than its predecessors, chances are Apple may decide to do away with the 11-inch model all together.
So the display options will definitely include the 13-inch model and now a 15-inch variant may also be added to the roaster. Reportedly, Apple hasn’t taken a call on whether it intends to take the 11-inch model off the list. While that remains to be seen, a 15-inch MacBook Air model may sure garner the attention of many.
