Last week speculations about the MacBook Air 2016 launching on Black Friday began doing the rounds.

According to a report on Latinos Post, rumors mills at work hinted at a probable launch of the much-awaited Apple product during the Black Friday sales. Although, it does seem highly unlikely that the Cupertino-tech giant would go ahead and release the MacBook Air 2016 on November 27, for many reasons.

To begin with Apple iPad Pro has only recently hit the market. Additionally, Black Friday deals mean slashed down prices and heavy discounts which is bound to overshadow the release of the MacBook Air 2016. However, as per recent report on Yibada, the MacBook Air 2016 will release during Christmas time as opposed to during Black Friday.

Many reports have indeed predicted that the  MacBook Air 2016 will launch during Christmas this year and fans will witness the arrival of the Pro 2016 in spring next year.

With no official word, it is difficult to say when exactly the MacBooks 2016 will become available. However, it is rumored that the 2016 lineup will arrive with the new Skylake-U chipsets, which apparently are yet to hit production. So, if the speculations about the laptops arriving with Intel’s latest processors are anything to go by, then fans may only be able to get their hands on 2016 MacBooks next year.

For now, take these rumors with a big pinch of salt as there is no official word to confirm any details. For those not in the know, here’s a quick recap on the rumored specs of the 2016 MacBook Air. The much-talked about laptop is expected to arrive with Force Touch technology, Retina display, the latest Nvidia GPU, Type-C USB port and run the latest El Capitan OS.

Reportedly, the MacBook Air 2016 may jump on the scene with a $1500 price tag. Fans expecting to see the device this year can keep their fingers crossed and keep coming back for more updates.
