Speculations about the MacBook Air being phased out have already begun doing the rounds. As reported by Parent Herald, Apple may eventually put an end to the MacBook Air line-up and focus on the current favorite iPad Pro.
The report also quoted Carolina Milanesi, Chief of Research and head of U.S. business for Kantar WorldPanel Comtech, she said, “All [notebooks] need to be more mobile, so something like the Air doesn’t need to be branched out anymore.”
With MacBook Air known for its sleekness and lightness, the tag that may have been taken over by the 12-inch MacBook and it may not surprise many if Apple does decide to phase the former out.
If the new 12-inch MacBook 2016 is launched, it is most likely that fans may also see the iPad Air 3 and an Apple Watch 2 being unveiled at the event. Along with the MacBook line-up, these two other products were conspicuous by their absence at Apple’s September annual launch event.
If the much-waited offerings aren’t revealed in March then fans can pin their hopes on the WWDC 2016 to be held in June, where Apple can possibly launch the products.
