Is she in or out of love? Little Mix Perrie Edwards may not be over her ex-boyfriend of four years yet. The singer, along with her group, released Shout Out to My Ex which might be for the former One Direction member.
More than that, sources say that she keeps on talking about her breakup with Malik. If that is the case, it may sound that she is not yet over him.
The former couple had a long relationship and had a two-year engagement. According to reports, the guy ended the relationship via text message.
Adding salt to injury, the Pillowtalk singer flaunted his romance with Gigi Hadid months after the heartbreaking split. It looks like Edwards is channeling her pain by writing songs.
The female singer said that her fans have been thankful for the song, especially those who experienced the same thing that Edwards had to endure.
“I’m like an agony aunt. I feel amazing, I can’t get enough of it,” she told the Daily Star. “So many people approach me at nightclubs saying, ‘You changed my life, I’ve never felt better,” she added.
“Or, ‘I got dumped two weeks ago and your song makes me feel great. Guys too have told me they put the song on repeat to help them,” Edwards added.
Notably, the group revealed that they had to make some changes on the lyrics for censorship but the original words appear to be dissing both Malik and Hadid.
News.au was able to obtain the original lyrics of the song. Indeed, it contains some shady wordings and arrangements like this:
“Heard he been f—-ng some model chick, yeah that s— hurt I’ll admit, but f— that boy I’m over it.”
