This is “taking one for the team” to a new level. Jesy Nelson hurt her ankle during a Little Mix tour performance in Kuala Lumpur. But instead of cancelling the next shows, she performed in a wheelchair in Singapore.

Jesy Nelson joined teammates Perrie, Jade, and Leigh-Anne on the Singapore stage for their performance. Performing with her team while in a wheelchair did not hinder the quality of her performance. Fans have dubbed her a queen and a warrior and have lauded her team spirit, professionalism, and courage.

Nelson suffered from an ankle injury during the Little Mix show in Kuala Lumpur as part of their “Get Weird” tour. According to Capital FM, the singer tore her ankle ligament and as a result, it was swollen way too much. This resulted in her being bound to the wheelchair.

The 24-year-old took to Instagram to update her fans about her injury. She posted an image of a swollen foot and a caption, apologising to her Kuala Lumpur fans for not being able to perform. “Oh god guys it’s always me 🙈🙈🙈🙈 so so gutted I couldn’t perform for the last part of the KL show tonight! Thanks to my 3 amazing girlies for carrying on without me!” read the caption.

“Torn the ligaments in my ankle but resting up for the Singapore show on Monday … Just maybe no dancing for me 🙍🏻can’t wait to see all you Singapore mixers! ❤” it added.

However, upon reaching Singapore, Nelson made sure she was on stage despite being in a wheel chair. The Hits Radio informs that her back up dancer wheeled her around on stage during their performance. Fans were quick to praise the girl for her efforts.

“She is literally a warrior 💪🏼 Im so proud,” tweeted HoransLights. “She was in a wheelchair but instead of cancelling, she came on stage & performed. What a queen,” added another fan.

Little Mix will continue with their Get Weird tour and will tour Europe next month.
