“Lip Sync Battle” continues to entertain audiences since it debuted on television. However, the upcoming episode promises an intergalactic encounter that even “Star Trek Beyond” fans can anticipate.

Stars Zoe Saldana and Zachary Quinto take part in an hour-long special of “Lip Sync Battle” on June 9, Billboard reported. The episode will honor the latest movie in the “Star Trek” franchise that hits theaters on July 22, the publication added.

The fight promises to be epic as competitors have their own strategies to win, Entertainment Weekly revealed. Although both expect it to be fun, they’re well aware that it’s still a competition. Saldana and Quinto play Uhura and Spock, respectively, in the “Star Trek” movies. Off camera, they’ve been friends for over 15 years, the publication wrote.

“I’m just going to do what I do best, which is to focus on myself and take it minute by minute and go with the flow. It’s like my husband says, take a breath and let it all go,” Saldana said.

“I keep forgetting it is a competition. I feel like Zach and I have been invited to have fun, and it’s not until somebody comes to me going [in a deep voice], ‘What words do you want to give Zach?’ and my first instinct is to go, ‘Kill it, buddy!’ Then I’m like, [deep voice again] ‘Oh yeah, I’m going to kill you! I’m going to … beat you?’” Saldana added.

Quinto acknowledged his odds at winning “Lip Sync Battle” given that Saldana is an “amazing dancer.” Yet he feels his strategy to lean into the lyrics will see him through. If not, then he’ll likely rely on his other plan. “You got to throw yourself into it headlong, show up, and hope I don’t f–k it up,” Quinto declared.

Teasers from “Lip Sync Battle” certainly showed Quinto giving it all on stage as he mimicked Missy Elliot to the tune of “Get Ur Freak On,” Mail Online noted. His outfit was reminiscent of the rapper’s look in 2001 from the “same denim studded gilet, matching jeans, and giant silver hoop earrings,” the publication wrote.

However, Zoe Saldana doesn’t seem to be one who would walk away from a fight. TLC members Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas join the actress for some “Crazy Sexy Cool,” Billboard wrote.
