Selfie has made a trend in the market and when it comes to smartphone cameras, Sony is unbeatable. It seems that the company is set to launch Sony Xperia C6 Ultra, which would carry 16MP front camera becoming one the largest selfie camera on a smartphone so far.
It would not be wrong to say that Sony Xperia has a bigger reputation in the smartphone market for its visibility and marketing. Slash Gear notes that both Sony Xperia C6 Ultra and OPPO R9 are 6-inch phablets.
Although the name “C6 Ultra” is not officially declared by the company, but when compared to Xperia C5 Ultra last year, the name is a sure deal.
According to readers, Sony’s new device would measure 164.2 mm x 79.4 mm x 8.4 mm, thus making it narrower but thicker than the Xperia C5 Ultra. C6 Ultra will be powered by a MediaTek MT6755 but the remaining specs are almost the same, notes Nowhere else.fr.
This means the device will sport a 6.0-inch screen Full HD and the processor will be paired with 2 GB of RAM. 16 GB of storage is included in the device.
SlashGear notes that Sony Xperia C6 Ultra will bring biggest changes in the camera. A 20MP sensor is said to be placed on the usual top left the corner of the rear-side rather than the rumoured center spot. The front camera will be of 16MP with LED flash. The camera is believed to located at the top-center of the device.
As for launch date of Xperia C6 ultra, the company has not revealed any such information yet, and there is a possibility that the name could be changed, as Sony is committed to redefining the Xperia brand.
The new phablet carries some of the smart camera features which generally the Xperia devices flaunt. After all, the leaked images do resemble a new Xperia X, so it might as behave like one.
