The much-awaited HTC 10 has a release date now. HTC has officially declared the launch date of the flagship device, which is Apr. 12. The company has also said that it will be organising an online-only event similar to the last year launch of HTC One A9 during fall. The event was held in an empty stadium and announced the device in virtual reality.

As the release date is approaching, leaks regarding the HTC 10 are continuously filling on the internet. It is apparent that all the leaks have lined up to form the HTC 10 which we have seen so far. Not to forget the chamfered edges on the device.

The rear-side of the device has a round camera which is quite contrary to its predecessor’s square camera with rounded corners in HTC One M9. The new device would have dual-LED flash on the back and it seems that laser auto-focus is also included.

Moving on to specs, leaked images shows that the previous rumours were true. HTC 10 would sport a 5.5-inch quad HD Super AMOLED display, having a resolution of 2560×1440. The device is reported to be powered by Qualcomm snapdragon 820 coupled with 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, notes GSM Arena.

Android Headlines cites that 12MP camera is included on the back of the device and it could be Sony IMX377 sensor, which was last seen on the Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X. Both devices are known for its amazing pictures. Perhaps, HTC would market the device as an ultra camera.

The popular Boomsound feature is included, although front-facing speakers are not found. It is said that a great amplifier is incorporated inside which would offer some great audio from the HTC 10.

For now, we know the specs and details and wait till Apr 12 for the HTC’s launch event even though its online event.
