Espanyol are all set to host Levante in their own backyard at the Power8 Stadium in Spain, on Monday, Dec. 7 starting at 7.30PM GMT. Both teams clashed in their Copa Del Rey Cup campaign on Dec. 4 which ended in a draw with both sides scoring one goal each.
Levante had a tragic start to their La Liga campaign as they can only record two wins from 13-games. They are right now sitting last in the La Liga table with 10-points to their name.
The All-Sports News also quote that “Manager Rubi will take confidence from seeing his side beat Sporting Gijon 3-0 two weeks ago in La Liga, and will be hoping leading goalscorer Deyverson can add to the two goals he scored in that match.”
Espanyol will bank on their home advantage to win the sixth match of their La Liga Campaign. According to Football-News, “Espanyol, on the other hand, are 12th on the ladder and will be looking to increase the gap between themselves and Levante to nine points. These two last met in La Liga back in April 2015 with Victor Casadesus popping up in the 87th minute to rescue a point for Levante in a 2-2 draw.”
Both Espanyol and Levante carry the same fate in their last five matches. Both teams have managed to scalp just one victory out of their last five encounters. The other matches have resulted in two draws and two lost matches, respectively.
According to the sources the bookmakers are tilting their confidence towards Espanyol as they start as favorites in the upcoming clash. The Levante side has to play some good football ahead of their tough clash against Espanyol.
