Anne Hathaway was forced to delete her social media post when she found herself in hot water with the Internet. Did she regret posting it after realising Kanye West’s odd rants?
Hollywood Life reports that the 33-year-old actress recently posted a meme about the “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” reality stars while adoring her “Alice Through the Looking Glass” co-star Helena Bonham Carter.
Anne Hathaway took to Instagram to post a meme with the words “In a world of Kardashians … Be a Helena Bonham Carter.” She then captioned it with “Yes Please!!! Happy Monday #helenabonhamcarter #beautiful #unique #madness #cuteness #actress #idol #rolemodel #genius #love #kardashian #TimBurtonFansOficial”
But when she received some criticism over the image, Anne Hathaway quickly deleted it and replaced it with a post that read: “Post removed for unintended shade thrown” with the caption, “It never occurred to me I was pitting anyone against each other. Not my style. Peace x.”
Some fans thought Hathaway was dissing the Kardashians, while others wrote that people were missing the bigger picture. Even if her intentions were good, surely using the Kardashians as an example wasn’t the best move.
Despite the apology, Kardashian supporters are continuing to taunt Hathaway in the comments.
It is known that Kim won’t go down without a fight when she feels people are throwing shade at her and her family. Remember what happened to Bette Midler and Chloe Moretz when they slammed her for her nude selfie back in March?
Entertainment Tonight previously reported that Kim fought back in a Kanye West-style tweet and seemingly earned respect from the public. The whole world backed her up and that probably is the reason why Anne decided to take the high road and delete her Kardashian-related post, rather than face the wrath of her fans.
