Although the reasons have not yet been revealed, it is being speculated that the rapper visited Trump Tower with an intention of having an opportunity to perform at the president’s inauguration in January. Although the reasons have not yet been revealed, it is being speculated that the rapper visited Trump Tower with an intention of having an opportunity to perform at the president’s inauguration in January. The reason might not have been revealed but West had an answer when the media asked him about the purpose of the meeting.
“I just want to take a picture right now,” West said, standing next to a smiling Trump. “We’ve been friends for a long time,” Donald Trump said before. “Take care of yourself. I’ll see you soon.”
Kanye West Requested Meeting With Donald Trump – Why?
New York Times reported that Trump’s spokeswoman Hope Hicks drafted an email in which she said that it was West who requested the meeting. She said that the team was “delighted” to host the celebrity. She added that the meeting was “very positive and productive.” Later on Tuesday afternoon, Kanye West took to Twitter to unveil the reason. He said that he met Donald Trump to discuss “multicultural issues”. He said these issues included “bullying, supporting teachers, modernizing curricula and violence in Chicago.”
He added that direct communication was needed with Donald Trump if the Americans truly want change. After the US presidential elections 2016 in November, West addressed fans while performing in a concert and said that he told them he did not vote in the elections but he unveiled that if he had voted, he would have voted for Trump. Speculations aside, the Donald Trump–Kanye West meeting is expected to have a huge political impact, with West already saying that he would run in the presidential elections in the US in 2020 when the president-elect will be ready for re-election.
