It has been a close fight between Justin Bieber and Shawn Mendes. The Canadian singers are battling for the top spot in the music charts.

JB reigns at the top for 12 weeks with his single “Love Yourself.” However, Mendes could steal the crown as “Stitches” has been slightly ahead with 621 combined sales, reports Digital Spy. Meanwhile, Bieber’s another hit “Sorry” is at no. 3 while Adele’s “Hello” and One Direction’s “History” are at spots 4 and 5, respectively.

In other news, the “Stitches” hitmaker has been teasing about his next album. According to MTV News, Mendes has been dropping hints about the upcoming sophomore album in social media.

While nothing much has been revealed regarding its tracklist or official release, Mendes shared on Twitter that his next material will be “special,” “have a bunch of electric guitar” and will have “the right vibes.” He also shared a photo of him inside a recording studio.
