Justin Bieber could likely have a new career. The Canadian singer’s talent for lyrical prose just got a hilarious twist.

“The Late Late Show With James Corden” featured “The Bold and the Lyrical,” US Weekly reported. The online magazine dubbed it as “the soap opera to end all soap operas.” The cast for the Biebs’ first soap opera included stars like Salma Hayek, Ray Romano, Gary Oldman, and the host, James Corden. Unfortunately, Bieber was not one of the onscreen players.

Their dialogues quoted famous lyrics from various Justin Bieber hits. Hear your favourite lines from “Boyfriend,” “Sorry,” “Love Yourself,” and more. US Weekly gave an account of the dramatic scenes from the soap.

Romano quoted lines from “Boyfriend.” “If I were your boyfriend, I’d never let you go,” Romano said. “Chillin by the fire, eatin’ fondue,” he continued. As he spoke, he fed Hayek strawberries.

Corden’s entrance broke up their tête-à-tête. “Just friends? You nod your head yes, but you wanna say no,” Corden recited Bieber’s song, “What Do You Mean?”

Hayek retorted with “Is it too late now to say sorry?”

Romano added a comic touch to the already hilarious soap opera. “Everybody wanna steal my girl, huh?” Romano said, purposely quoting One Direction instead of Justin Bieber.

Oldman added another twist to the plot as Hayek’s third lover. The veteran actor quoted lines from “Baby.” “Baby, I’ve been thinking about ya. When I was 13, I had my first love,” Oldman said.

The melodrama comes to a close with Romano, Corden, and Oldman leaving Hayek. “If you like the way you look that much, then, baby, you should go and love yourself,” Romano said. “I’m better sleeping on my own,” Oldman agreed.

MTV provided a quick synopsis of the five-minute soap opera: “The Bold and the Lyrical” centres on the infidelities of Hayek’s character. She struggles to deal with her three lovers played by Corden, Romano, and Oldman.

MTV also teased at the possibility of a series for the Justin Bieber soap opera. It noted that Justin Bieber is a favourite of the show, having appeared thrice in its “Carpool Karaoke” segments.

The current episode of “The Bold and the Lyrical” is a follow-up to the show’s Taylor Swift episode last year. The T-Swift opera featured Julianne Moore and John Stamos.
