Justin Bieber has been making headlines these past few weeks but still managed to nail his performance on the Billboard Music Awards 2016, which was allegedly rumoured to be “fake.” Whatever, here are the details as he rocked the stage with the songs “Sorry” and “Company.”
The Canadian singer was introduced by social media star DJ Khaled, reports Billboard. Bieber then entered centre stage sporting a rather simple attire in ripped jeans and a plain shirt.
The pop star emerged onstage with dancers and acrobats in white outfits and “aqua club lighting” while singing “Company,” describes Rolling Stones. Then, a trumpet signalled his second song “Sorry.” Both of the songs are under his album “Purpose.”
Justin Bieber got 12 nominations for the event, just behind The Weeknd with 19. He bagged the Top Male Artist and Top Social Media Artist, according to the Billboard’s list of winners. In the meantime, watch his full performance here.
The singer is currently on his “Purpose” tour. But amidst the headliner concert, Rolling Stone also reported that Bieber cancelled some of the “meet and greet” events because it makes him “drained and unhappy.” The online mag went on to report as well that he will no longer entertain fans who would like to take selfies with him, for it makes him feel “like a zoo animal.”
Music career aside, the singer has been facing controversies between three women: his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez and rumoured flings, Hailey Baldwin and Kourtney Kardashian.
According to previous reports, Justin Bieber has been secretly meeting with the Latina singer while being speculated to be hooking up with the reality star. On the other hand, Baldwin allegedly said that her alleged feud with Gomez is nothing but pure gossip.
“I think it sucks that people try to start things like that. There’s never any truth to that, first of all,” Baldwin said, as per Us Weekly. “She’s a lovely girl. She’s very kind. She and I have a lot of mutual friends and it’s all cool between everybody. We run in the same circles.”
