Will Batman’s trusty butler join him for the first “Justice League” movie?  And will Alfred Pennyworth have a bigger role in the upcoming film?

According to Showbiz 411, Jeremy Irons let slip that he will be joining the cast of “Justice League: Part 1,” though this has yet to be confirmed. However, according to Movie Pilot, Irons will appear as Alfred for Batman’s solo movie. Irons succeeded the likes of actors Michael Gough, Michael Caine and Alan Napier when he appeared in “Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice” as Bruce Wayne’s butler.

Meanwhile, Batman and Superman will still be played by “Batman V. Superman” stars Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill in “Part 1.” Aside from the two caped superheroes, other Justice League members have already appeared in “Batman V. Superman,” including Wonder Woman, The Flash and Aquaman. Wonder Woman will be played by Gal Gadot; Ezra Miller and Jason Momoa, meanwhile, are part of the cast to take on the role of The Flash and Aquaman. All three of them, plus Batman, are set to appear in their own solo movies.

Aside from these characters, Cyborg, Lois Lane, and Commissioner Gordon has been confirmed to join “Justice League: Part 1.” Actor Ray Fisher will take on the role of Cyborg. Amy Adams and J.K. Simmons will meanwhile reprise their roles as Lois Lane and Commissioner Gordon. Actor Willem Dafoe has also been cast for the movie. Dafoe earlier appeared as Green Goblin in the first Spider-Man trilogy. However, his exact role in this movie is yet to be confirmed.

What would Alfred be doing in the movie? Fans will have to sit tight and wait for the premiere to find out. The first part of “Justice League” is set to hit the big screen on November 16, 2017. The second part will come two years after. Fans can catch “Part 2” on June 14, 2019.
