“Drug Dealer Anonymous” was recently released as Jay Z and Pusha T’s new hit track. However, reports stated surprising truths and the real meaning behind the lyrics.
According to Rolling Stone, Jay Z wanted to express his thoughts on Beyonce’s new “Lemonade” album that provoked curiosity from the listeners.
It was stated that Beyonce labeled her husband for eight years, Jay Z, as a “drug dealer.” “Lemonade” was the sixth studio album release by the “Halo” singer.
The album was launched last April 23 under Columbia Records. Right after the album was released, speculations about the real status of her marriage with Jay Z emerged.
First thoughts of Beyonce’s new track were about Jay Z’s cheating. However, this was opposed by “99 Problems”.
One of the parts Jay Z highly reacted to were the lines referring to him as a “drug dealer.” He was initially quiet about the issue but when he released this new track in collaboration with Pusha T, he broke his silence.
The lyrics contained responses to the Diva’s line “Your husband was a drug dealer. For 14 years he sold crack cocaine,” she said in the song.
“Life made me ambidextrous / Countin’ with my right, whipping white with my left wrist / Damn Daniel / FBI keep bringing them all white vans though,” Jay Z responded.
What make the song gripping were the words by Pusha T, who added lyrics referring to what it takes to get the luxuries acquired by people around.
He said, “Who the f**k ain’t mastered this / America’s nightmare’s in Flint / Children of a lesser God when your melanin’s got a tint.”
“Drug Dealer Anonymous” was released as Pusha T’s first song in his upcoming album “King Push.”
The track can be played and downloaded via Tidal since yesterday.
