A lot has been written and said about the iPhone 7 and the recent reports suggest that there wouldn’t be anything extraordinary about the 2016 flagship.
Credible Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities had earlier predicted that the iPhone sales in 2016 could be lower than what the company witnessed in 2014. Kuo, who has been known to make spot-on predictions, said that the lower sales in 2016 could be since the iPhone 7 won’t be boasting of any “attractive” upgrades. However, Tim Cook in a recent interview had a very different story to tell. As noted by 9to5Mac, in an interview with CNBC’s Jim Cramer, Cook teased,
“We are going to give you things that you can’t live without that you just don’t know you need today.”
He also shared that the company has “great innovation in the pipeline” and with the new iPhones, consumers won’t be able to resist upgrading their devices. Reportedly, the iPhone 7 is going to boast of one such “killer feature,” which may well generate enough excitement that may last until the next iteration lands on the tech scenario. Cook’s comments have opened a whole another discussion and everyone’s been guessing at what the “killer feature” could be.
A leaked image claiming to be an iPhone 7 rendering that had been unearthed by Japanese website Mac Otakara, gave tech aficionados a good glimpse of the upcoming device’s potential. Rumours are rife that upcoming Apple smartphone could be the sleekest iPhone ever, in case the 3.5mm jack is bumped off. The leaked image showed off the presence of a dual camera arrangement and a Smart Connector amongst other features.
Apple loyalists can keep coming back for more updates, rumours and speculations about the iPhone 7. What do you think would that one feature be on the iPhone 7 that would compel everyone’s attention? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.
