Apple has recently launched the iPhone 6S, but tech junkies are already looking forward to the rumored iPhone 7 launch next year.

So far, unconfirmed information about the new flagship phone has already been shared online. A particular rumor that has caused quite a buzz among eager fans is the one claiming that the new iPhone might just be a waste of money.

As Forbes reported, if iPhone aficionados are really looking to get their hands on a device that has notable improvements, they should just wait further for the iPhone 7 Plus. The site argued that two important upgrades on the phone’s camera and connectivity will not happen until the Plus variant gets unveiled.

“Whereas the new iPhone will get a small upgrade, the iPhone 7 Plus will be moving to the much vaunted dual camera technology already seen from the likes of LG and Huawei,” Forbes noted.

As for the new iPhone’s Smart Connector, the site claimed that “it will be an iPhone 7 Plus only feature.” “Given the Smart Connector adds cost, it also would help justify the price difference between the iPhone 7 and pricier iPhone 7 Plus,” the site continued.

A previous report from Quartz also claimed that the new iPhone will look a lot like its predecessors. “According to multiple sources reportedly with access to those assembling Apple’s next phone, the iPhone 7 will have the same basic body shape as the last two iPhones,” the site noted.

“It seems increasingly likely that the next iPhone will look a lot like the iPhone 6S, which looks a lot like the iPhone 6.”

If rumors are accurate, fans can get their hands on the new iPhone when it gets released in September. According to previous speculations, the launch might also coincide with the Apple Watch 2 release date.  Apple has yet to confirm or deny these rumors.
