At the advent of the new year, iPhone 7 rumors have begun to trickle in and fans may like what’s coming their way. If speculations are anything to go by then the flagship device could be boasting a mean battery and more room for storage.

According to a report on the Chinese Website MyDrivers iPhone 7 Plus may house a large 3,100 mAh battery and also arrive with the 256GB storage option. There is no denying that if this happened to be true then the Plus variant from the iPhone 7 lineup could possibly be the answer to all those battery life and storage woes.

With the current iPhone 6S possessing a 2750 mAh battery, iPhone 7 Plus with a 3,100 mAh battery would mean a 12 percent improvement. Also with those aspects hitting the right spots with users, it could be quite possible that the Cupertino tech-giant is looking at increasing storage capacity as well as amping up the battery life. But it does seem quite unlikely that it would do so only for one of the variants in the lineup.

As noted by Apple Insider, the idea of just the Plus model arriving with 256GB storage, is a far cry from the company’s strategy to deliver two models mainly differentiated just by their display sizes. As much as the idea of the 256GB storage and a larger battery sounds appealing, take the rumors with a pinch of salt. Fans can keep their fingers crossed and wait until the company’s annual event in September, where the device is expected to make the appearance.

Speculations are rife that the handset may boast of being completely waterproof and arrive sans a headphone jack with support for an all-in-one Lightning connector. With this being the iPhone 7, some radical design changes are also expected. Apple fans can keep coming back for more updates on iPhone 7.
