A leaked photo revealed the unboxing of what appears to be an Apple iPhone 5se.
In an article made by GSM Arena, the iPhone 5se is presumed to have an improved design and hardware than the iPhone 5s which makes the former a special edition of the latter. The device will measure 4” and its fresh form will have a 2.5D curved screen glass. It will have a TouchID, an 8MP camera, 1GB RAM and A9 chipset.
In another post by Times News, the smartphone will have A1622 and A1723 as model numbers. It is also thought to have storage capacities of either 16GB or 64GB, 1,642 mAh battery, and a 12-megapixel camera at the back. It will cost around #450 to $500 with three colors to choose from. Unconfirmed word suggest that it will have Bluetooth 4.2 and 802.11 ac Wi-Fi. As opposed to the iPhone 6s series, the 5se phone will not have the 3D Touch display.
As seen in the image, the label in the box confirms the model name of the yet to be released Apple phone. 5se suffix is believed to be an abbreviation for iPhone 5s Enhanced or, as previously mentioned, Special Edition. The phone has been originally speculated to be known simply as iPhone SE.
There is, however, no way to verify whether the “unboxing” photo is authentic or not. As of the moment, there is no official announcement from Apple regarding their upcoming phone.
The iPhone 5SE is rumoured to be launched this coming March 22. Gossips suggest that the iPhone 5S will still be made available to the public along with iPhone 5se at a discount — 5S is currently sold at $450 but the price may cut down to $225. Also expected to be released on such date are the iPad Pro and iPad Air 3 devices, both powered by an A9X chip.
