After the debate over what the iPhone 5se will be officially named, and its rumored specs, arrive multiple reports suggesting what colours the device may be come out.

As noted by Digital Trends, rumors have hinted at the iPhone 5se arriving splashed in a range of colours including space gray, silver and gold as well as rose gold. But, a recent report on Macotakara suggests that the 4-inch iPhone may just be ditching the gold colour options to arrive in a shade of hot pink. Apple fans may be aware that this isn’t a new shade, rather the one already seen on the company’s iPod Touch. But if the information is correct then the gold and the rose gold variant may not be available for buyers wanting to get their hands on the iPhone 5se. However, since it is being widely accepted that the mini iPhone will come in the same shades as the iPhone 6 line, this speculation does seem highly unlikely.

On the contrary, fans would only expect more colour options to become available. But reports have also hinted that Apple is leaning towards creating a marked distinction with regards to the iPhone 5se and the iPhone 7 line. The company would probably want to make it clear that the iPhone 5se sits at the lowest rung in the ladder this year and probably leave out a few colour choices and opt for hot pink instead.

While that remains to be seen, Apple fans can pin their hopes on the prediction that the iPhone 5se will be launched sooner rather than later. As per report on 9to5 Mac, a source claimed that Apple has locked in March 15 as the date for a small launch event. If this does materialize then fans may soon witness the launch of the 4-inch iPhone alongside a new iPad and Apple Watch. Keeping our fingers crossed!
