“House Rules” 2016 has been proven as one of the most twisted renovation realities ever in the history of Australian television. With couples like Rob and Rose, things become more perplexing.
Last week, we saw the teams headed to Perth for couple Rob and Rose’s small house in the city of Rockingham. Rob, who is from a defense background, was seen imposing a ‘military rule’ in everything he takes up. Even the makeover of his small house could not escape it. The contesting teams seemed terrified by his ideas almost all the time, News reports.
After working for a week following a tricky ‘1970-inspired rule book’ proposed by Rob and Rose, the outcomes received mixed feedback from the owner couple.
Let us have a quick look at them.
“There are so many different things to look at,” Rose expressed at the yellow entry. “My eyes are tired.”
Melbourne couple Fil and Joe tops the leaderboard with their Navy-inspired bedroom for young brothers David and Sam, with plenty of seafaring fun.
Their work in the kitchen also scored mostly high praise.
Rose conveyed, “I really loved the tiles on the splash back, the appliances … and I love that you guys chose drawers over cupboards. For a family, that’s just amazing functionality.”
Adelaide duo Brooke and Michelle enjoyed the task this week, which resulted in a stunning dining room. The space also caught the eyes of the homeowners.
Sydney renovation pair Nancy and Daniel faced a hard time in the master bedroom transformation. However, the flashy ending paid off as it impressed Rob and Rose.
Queensland twins Luke and Cody again wowed with toddler Teddy’s pirate-themed bedroom and won everyone’s compliment.
However, sadly, last week’s toppers Hagan and Clair ended at the bottom this time. Their main bathroom renovation using diagonal multi-colored tiles was liked by the owner couple though.
Here is the scoreboard:
- Fil and Joe — 28
- Brooke and Michelle — 25
- Nancy and Daniel — 23
- Luke and Cody — 22
- Claire and Hagan — 18
Now, the team will head towards Mornington Peninsula to take on Claire and Hagan’s tiny one-bedroom flat.
House Rules airs Monday to Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 7 p.m. on Seven.
