Henry Cavill is back on the market! The “Batman v Superman” star has reportedly broken up with his 19-year-old girlfriend, Tara King, after less than a year of dating.

“Henry and Tara have split — it is official,” The Sun reports. “Henry said the two of them could stay friends and he even invited her to his recent birthday party, which she did go to. But their relationship is over.”

Henry Cavill ended the romance which, according to the publication, has been difficult for King who called him “the love of her life.”

The split comes as a surprise as less than two months ago, Henry Cavill gushed about how Tara was always there for him when he is having a hard time.

“She protects me and is protective of me when I am having a hard time,” he told The Mirror. “She’s there when I need looking after and the world is a little too heavy…Tara allows me to be me and doesn’t have a problem with that.”

King, who attends Bristol University, has accompanied Henry Cavill to various events around the world. she joined him on the red carpet at the 2016 Vanity Fair Oscar party and posed with his family at the “Batman v Superman” premiere in London in March.

People magazine reported that Henry Cavill opened up about his 13-years-age gap with King to Elle Magazine back in February of this year.

“People say age is just a number. It’s actually a real and true sign of someone’s maturity. But in this case, she’s fantastic,” Cavill told the mag. “When I met my girlfriend, I was super intimidated. I wanted to impress her. I was thinking, ‘Don’t mess this up, man.’”

While Henry Cavill understands that there will be people who are going judge his relationship with a much younger woman, he confessed that he once dated a 32-year-old when he was just 19, so he knows how it feels to be on the opposite side.
