“Harry Potter” star Daniel Radcliffe is jealous of actor Eddie Redmayne.

Radcliffe is known for taking on the role of the famous boy wizard from 2001 up to the movie franchise’s end last 2011. Meanwhile, Oscar-winner Redmayne is set to star in the spin-off of the “Harry Potter” franchise called “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”.

However, Radcliffe’s reason for jealousy is not about Redmayne’s role as the new face of the “Harry Potter” franchise; rather, it is their wardrobe difference.

Variety reports that Radcliffe has some costume envy on Redmayne’s attire as Newt Scamander.

The website explains that Radcliffe expressed his wardrobe sentiment in an interview with NME.

Variety quotes a joking Radcliffe in saying:

“Oh f–k you, Eddie, in your brilliant costume. I got jeans and a zip top for 10 years and you’ve got a great coat already?”

Entertainment Weekly provides a background of Redmayne’s character in the upcoming movie.

According to EW, Newt Scamander is a magizoologist whose story and adventures occur in New York in the year 1926.

Still, the upcoming “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” movie is not the only thing that Radcliffe expressed an opinion about.

Vulture reports that the actor also shared his excitement for the upcoming “Harry Potter” play called “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child”.

According to the website, Radcliffe said he is happy that the franchise is still going on and that he is excited to see a new take on “Harry Potter”.

Vulture quotes Radcliffe in saying:

“Now that I know [Harry’s in it] I actually really want to see it. It would be a mental thing to try and see it with lots of very excited Harry Potter fans. But I kind of would like to know what happens now.”

Radcliffe can be seen next on the upcoming film “Now You See Me 2” while “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” is scheduled for release on November 18, 2016.
