Author of the worldwide mega-seller Harry Potter series, JK Rowling, managed to find time to meet the American President ahead of her busy schedule. She was one of the persons selected by the President himself to join the dinner on Saturday.
Rebecca Salt, the spokesperson of Rowling confirmed to Mashable that she had dined with US President Barack Obama at the residence of the US ambassador on Saturday. The dinner included many other famous personalities.
This is not the first time when Obama met Rowling. They met earlier when the starry-eyed fanboy, Mr. President met the author at the G20 summit in 2009. In 2010, the Casual Vacancy author read passages from her book at the White House Easter Egg Roll.
There are even speculations by various news sites like Gawker on the possible topics discussed between the two during the dinner like if “Voldemort was inspired by Adolf Hitler, or Donald Trump?” or “What house would Obama be assigned to?”
We do not know which dishes were served at the residence of US ambassador but we can guess that the author might have tasted all the dishes as she did at the new Harry Potter theme park in Hollywood, as reported by Daily Record. She did approve the British-themed dishes at the park which included fish and chips and shepherd’s pie. The 50-year-old author has remained quite on the subject and has not posted any details about the Presidential dinner.
