Gwen Stefani may be happier than ever in her relationship with Blake Shelton, but her ex-husband, Gavin Rossdale, sure isn’t on board with it! The Bush frontman reportedly held a private meeting with Stefani to discuss her future with the country crooner.

“Gwen had a meeting with Gavin to discuss her relationship with Blake and how it will affect the children going forward,” an insider close to the ex-couple told Us Weekly. “[Gavin] wants to be consulted on everything concerning the kids and the role that Blake is playing in their lives.”

Although the insider didn’t mention whether Rossdale is against the new-found love of Gwen Stefani with Shelton, it seems like his main concern is that he’ll be overshadowed by Blake when it comes to his kids, 9-year-old Kingston, 7-year-old Apollo and 2-year-old Zuma.

In August, Gavin Rossdale and Gwen Stefani announced they were splitting after 20 years together. Their divorce fueled claims of infidelity by Rossdale and their former nanny.

Months after the breakup, Gwen Stefani began dating her newly single “The Voice” co-star Blake Shelton, who inspired her new album “This Is What the Truth Feels Like,” along with her divorce.

Now that their divorce is finalized, Blake Shelton is planning to treat his woman to a romantic getaway to celebrate and just take her away from all the drama.

“Blake is so happy for Gwen,” a source told HollywoodLife. “He’s planning to whisk her away on a romantic getaway once her divorce is finalized. He has been there every step of the way, helping and supporting Gwen, and wants to celebrate her freedom and the next new exciting chapter in her life.”

In a heartfelt interview about her new album, Gwen Stefani revealed at the time that Blake Shelton saved her life after her painful divorce from Gavin Rossdale.

“When you go through what I went through, or what I’m still going through, you think you’re hopeless. You don’t know what’s going to happen,” Stefani told Refinery29. “You panic. It was a really super-unexpected gift to find a friend, somebody who happened to be going through the exact same thing as me, literally mirroring my experience. I don’t think it’s an accident that that happened. It saved me.”
