The hype about “Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 2” gets stronger as updates continue to emerge on the Internet. More than the announcements made by James Gunn himself, rumor has it that Sylvester Stallone might be joining the Marvel’s upcoming motion picture.
The “Rocky” star was allegedly spotted going on the set at Pinewood Studios in Atlanta, Georgia on March 1, reports Ace Showbiz. The veteran actor was seen holding a paper which they assume as a script.
More than that scenario, NY Daily News was able to have a snapshot of Stallone leaving an Atlanta hotel where the casts are staying. The news stated further that he was seen going in the car usually assigned to Chris Pratt.
While Stallone’s role and involvement are still unconfirmed, the reports claimed that he might be portraying as Peter Quill’s father whose allegedly named as J’son. Meanwhile, Ace Showbiz went on to write that Kurt Russell got the role instead but director James Gunn is still mum about it.
“There is no J’Son in the MCU (unless, in the future, that’s the name Moon Knight’s stoner neighbor gives himself),” Gunn explained. Should Stallone’s involvement be true, he will be joining the pool of new cast members Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki, Chris Sullivan and Tommy Flanagan.
Aside from the “Rocky Balboa” lead actor, a new character is also rumored to be included on the much-awaited film. It has been reported earlier that Ego The Living Planet might be one of the weird characters set for the Marvel movie.
Even though Ego was part of Thor’s storyline, Geek explained that the planet will fit in more on the “Guardians” because of other weird characters like Groot and Rocket Racoon. It is still unconfirmed whether the living planet will be part of the movie whatsoever.
“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” will be out on big screens this May 5, 2017.
