News about Guardians 2 is becoming more rampant prior to its release. According to the latest claim, there will be a bigger villain than the moviegoers are expecting.
James Gunn, the director of the latest MCU flick, teased fans using concept art via Twitter. By the looks of it, the Guardians must be facing an enemy bigger than the aliens.

As can be seen, the team is sporting new and cool outfits that match their gear of choice, except for baby Groot who appears naked. However, the most noticeable figure on the poster is the eccentric creature in the middle.
Could it be the next big villain? Cinema Blend noted that it might not be the main antagonist, but would appear in the opening credits instead.
Of course, we still have to wait for Guardians 2 to appear in cinemas before we can see more of their kickass battles against the unknown nemesis.
On the other hand, here’s what we know so far about the upcoming film. A previous report hinted that there might be a crossover between the forthcoming film and Thor: Ragnarok.
According to YouTube channel The Hashtag Show, another alien could be the missing link between the two films. Cotati, as Marvel Wiki described, is “an alien race with telepathic abilities that resembles large plants or trees.”
How is it possible? Those who already know the story may recall that they are part of the genealogy of Mantis. The character would be the completion of the prophecy that involves the mating of a perfect human with a perfect plant.
Meanwhile, the podcast guessed that Thor and Hulk might encounter an alien race during the film, hence the crossover. Gunn and the makers of Thor: Ragnarok are yet to address the rumors.
The film stars Chris Pratt as Star-Lord/Peter Quill, Zoe Saldana as Gamora and more. Meanwhile, Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel will voice Rocket Racoon and Groot, respectively. Guardians 2 hits the movie theaters on May 5, 2017.
