Grey’s Anatomy Season 13 might have more surprises than the show has already hinted. These include a possible comeback of a character viewers have been clamoring for since she left the show after Season 10.
Dr. Cristina Yang has been teased to return by his on-screen husband Kevin McKidd. The Grey’s Anatomy Season 13 star played the role of Owen Hunt, who married Christina in Season 7.
“I’d love it if she came back. I think she might eventually for fun, for maybe a couple of episodes. I don’t think she’d come back for anything long term, but who the hell knows?” he told Digital Spy. McKidd revealed that he and Oh are still close friends. In fact, they meet regularly.
McKidd also revealed that Oh was not happy when Owen married Amelia in the Season 12 finale. Back in June, Oh also joked on social media about Owen’s wedding. In a photo with McKidd, she expressed her disapproval that her on-screen husband already found a new love interest.

Is Meredith’s (Ellen Pompeo) “person” really coming back? Probably not soon. Oh recently denied reports that Dr. Yang is coming back to Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital.
Cristina Yang is one of the original cast members and most beloved character of the ABC medical drama. The cardio doctor was not killed off in the series, unlike Dr. Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey). She was written out as a main cast member and said to have transferred to a hospital in Switzerland. Hence, this leaves a glimpse of hope that one day Yang might come back to Seattle. Moreover, Grey’s Anatomy Season 13 has been teased to be focusing on the lives of the original characters.
Oh has received numerous awards and nominations for her role as Yang. She won the Golden Globe in 2005 and Screen Actors Guild Award in 2005 and 2007. Oh also got nods for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series from 2005 to 2009.
