Users waiting for the arrival of the Google Nexus 2016 are in for an early preview. It appears that a special new launcher made for the upcoming devices made its way out via a leak even before official channels open.
A report from BGR details that the leaks come from LlabTooFeR. True enough, a quick browse of the user’s Twitter timeline reveals a number of tweets pertaining to the Pixel Launcher. As of this posting, the Pinned tweet of the account gives a direct link to an article in the LlabTooFeR website about the launcher in detail.
The website had this to say about the launcher:
“…it will be less than two months after previous major release when Google release new NMR1 update which will be labelled as Android 7.1. It will bring new Google Assistant as well as new launcher called Pixel Launcher (formerly know as Nexus Launcher).”
Accordingly, LlabTooFeR lists that one improvement with this new launcher include allowing rotation of the home screen. You can check the photos of the Pixel Launcher on their website. You can also browse some of them in the shared tweets below.

Aside from the photos, another big thing the website offers is an unofficial download of the launcher. You can try it out, but LlabTooFeR warns that the available download is not the final software. Hence, some features could be lacking.
